Markus is living in the IT security space for more than 20 years. Starting out of curiosity, he later degreed in Computer Science and started his professional career in the area of Vulnerability Management and various IT infrastructure silos in 2001. Soon he began to embrace Security Operations in all its facets, not focusing on technology only.

Today, Markus heads the Galaxy Threat Intelligence portfolio as a product line manager at OpenText Cybersecurity.

In his spare time Markus loves DYI, astronomy, beach volleyball and running.

Markus has a six-year-old son and lives with him and his wife in Würzburg Germany.
